DentPro – Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do you fix car dents?
A: “We use a variety of tools to manipulate the metal back into shape without damaging the paint.”

Q: How long does a typical repair take to complete?
A: “We can usually make it to the job site on the same day as the service call, and the repair generally takes less than an hour to complete.”

Q: Are there dents you can’t repair? Can you perform repairs on custom paint jobs?
A: “If the damage is too severe, we may not be able to repair the vehicle, in which case, you’ll have to take it to a body shop. If there’s damage to a custom paint job, we probably can’t repair it, because we need a standard paint code to properly match the paint. But we’re happy to come out and look at any damage to determine if we can fix it.”

Q: Can you match my car’s exact original paint?
A: “Yes, we can color match and repaint on the spot without taking off the entire panel. We keep our repairs small and retain as much of the factory paint as possible. Taking a bumper off a car and repainting it in a body shop will cost $800 on average, but we can do it for far less money.”

Q: Do I have to prepare my car before you arrive?
A: “You don’t need to have your car detailed, but it’s a good idea to give it a basic wash. It’s not entirely necessary, but it helps the job go faster if we can clearly see what needs to be done.”

Q: Are your technicians trained?
A: “Yes. Each of our technicians undergoes a six-month apprenticeship and works alongside an experienced technician before they’re ready to work on their own.”
